A Calm & Serene Home : By Livspace Interior Design, in Bangalore

When Gayathri met up with Livspace interior designer Rida, it was clear that she didn’t want very ‘run-of-the-mill’ interiors. They were looking to bring in the ‘wow factor’ into their home at Prestige White Meadows, Whitefield, Bangalore.

Famous for its stunning vistas, Pavana Lake — roughly 2 hours from Mumbai — is as much a getaway as it is an Instagram-worthy location. Landlocked by the Sahyadris and guarded by three forts. The lake, a man-made marvel, is an emerging hotspot for tourists and nature lovers alike. However, it’s the house on the hill—coined the ‘5 Element House’—that towers above the surrounding terrain.

This apartment is in Beaumonde which is one of first few completed hi end luxury premises in South Mumbai. Considering that it is located at 31st floor, which is the highest floor, this home has a 360 degree view to Mumbai from the living room deck. All of the main living spaces and master bedrooms have unobstructed view of the Bandra Worli Sea Link.

This bungalow in Kerala, belonging to a family of seven, overlooks a lush rubber plantation and is spread over an acre of land. Its modern tropical design blended with traditional architecture is envisioned by architect Nikhil Mohan and interior designer Shabna Nikhil from Thought Parallels Architecture.

Presenting a recently completed 3600 sq ft contemporary home in Pune. The space was designed from scratch according to clients needs. The space has a clear palette and clean lines. In keeping with today’s lifestyles, it is designed to be functional—but warmer than the Modern style. The kitchen and the dining lie a huge alley opening into a terrace which enhances the space.

MD Apartment, located centrally in Ahmedabad, is the house of a designer, designed to meet his specific requirements. Originally a two bedroom apartment, it has been converted into a Studio.

Stripping the space bare was the first stage of design. This meant removing all the partition walls, existing toilets, the kitchen and even the flooring. There was a conscious decision of making a space that was minimal and at the same time, tactile.
